Sports Injuries

Sports injuries are a normal part of physical activity. You may reduce the number and severity of injuries with simple preventative actions. Being in top physical condition helps prevent injuries. Part of being in good physical condition requires normal muscle tone, which allows proper motion of the joints involved.

Sports may involve physical contact, fast starts and stops, quick movements, and awkward positions. This places unusual strain and stress on the body’s whole structural system. Chiropractic treatment provides natural, drug-free care aimed at restoring and maintaining the body’s optimal functional capacity. Chiropractic treatment is a proven measure for preventing sports related injuries.

Spinal adjustments and soft tissue therapies are used to treat injuries such as joint dysfunction, sprains, muscle strains, tendinitis, and bursitis. Joint problems in the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and foot can also be treated effectively with chiropractic treatment.
