Dr. Leo Romero is the founder of Chiropractic Physicians Inc., P.S. While it is with heavy hearts to announce he has passed away, his daughters are honored to take over his legacy.
He had been a practicing chiropractor in Washington State for over 30 years and works closely with both Hispanic and European communities.
Dr. Romero graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Los Angeles in 1992. He completed his post-graduate work in orthopedics at Western States Chiropractic College, now known as the University of Western States (UWS). He completed over 400 hours in orthopedics. Dr. Romero was a Board of Trustees (Board) member at UWS from 2005 – 2013. In addition to his tenure on the Board, he also served as Chairman of the Board for one year before his term ended.
Dr. Romero was appointed in 2000 as a Commissioner to the Washington State Department of Health, Chiropractic Quality Assurance Commission (Commission). He served as the Commission’s Chairman from 2004 – 2007. He continued his tenure with the Commission by serving as a disciplinary Pro Tempore member from 2007 – 2012.
Additionally, Dr. Romero was a Fellow for the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB). The Commission appointed him as the Washington State voting delegate during the FCLB’s 78th and 79th Annual Congress. Since 2000, Dr. Romero was also active with the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) Competency Committee, which is a sister Board to FCLB. Dr. Romero served on an Advisory Committee at Highline Community College for the Chiropractic Technician Program from 1997 – 2000, in which he successfully helped co-author a manual for the development of a new college curriculum for chiropractic technicians. In more recent years, he proudly donated the Romero Assessment Center to the University of Western States and also became trustee emeritus. With all these amazing experiences and accomplishments Dr. Romero loved working as an expert witness and on the floor Doctor. His community will forever remember him as an amazing life changing figure. While Chiropractic Physicians is heart broken at this loss we want to share his daughters are proud to honor their father and serve their community just as he did. The passion to better lives doesn’t stop at Dr. Leo Romero and we hope to show you.
